Excellent staff, very clean rooms, convenient to north east entrance of Yellowstone and close to lamar Valley

I loved the little town; however, the hotel was a bit run-down, and there were few amenities. The check-in was fine, though the people were hard to understand. There is no elevator to the second floor, so if you have anything heavy, you have to haul it up the stairs. Some siding pieces were missing on the exterior of the building. The room was decent; the beds were very comfortable. There is no air conditioning, but while we were there, we opened the window since it was cool outside. The toilet seat was pretty worn and could have used a new one; there were no door seals, so you could hear everything in the hallway. We were looking for an ice machine since they had ice buckets in the room, but there is no ice machine. You have to go to the front desk, and they will give you a bag of ice. There is a coffee machine in the lobby. There is no breakfast. For price, it worked for what we needed

We had two families staying in the suite. This room was like a house. The fully furnished kitchen was nice. Two bathrooms helped a lot as well. The staff were incredibly helpful! Walt, the manager was super accommodating when a plumbing bypass valve randomly failed in the basement. He offered another room, but while we headed to the local pool to spend the day, he fixed the problem and cleaned up like the problem never existed. A fun family vacation is never perfect, things go wrong and stuff happens. I'm glad that Walt was there to fix it when it did. And added to the stories we will remeber for years to come. I love a good deal! And the price is definitely the best in town, especially when you figure everything you get when you book the suite. We also stayed at a hotsprings resort after this and paid 3 times the price for half the time, it was a "nicer" room, but the AC was faulty, not enough lighting, the shower head was brutal, couldn't drain the bathtub because the knob was missing, everything overpriced, not to mention all the hiddon fees! The room was way worse than the Jet Suite. Maybe the price being so different, changed my expectations. The Jet Motor Inn blew away my expectations, while the resort stay was not at all the level of "luxury" that we expected. I will 100% be staying at Jet Motor Inn on my next visit to Powell.
